We started off by looking at how a space can be modified by the passage of time. We imagined the life of a space and the way it transforms, as a reaction to the time that passes, the people it hosts and their actions in that space.
Our team set off to illustrate this process through an interactive installation. We wanted to show the marks people have left in a space, not necessarily focusing on visual marks. We were more intrigued by the audio history of the space -- the stories people told each other in that space, their banters, their jokes. We wanted to capture the audio history of the space, and reveal it as visibly as graffiti sticks out on a white-washed wall.
